After spending the night in Suotuo City, Su Xiao, Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Xiao Bai headed for a small village outside the city early the next morning.

"This shabby little village? Master couldn't have made a mistake, could he?" Xiao Wu complained.

The students and parents gathered outside the village confirmed that this was Shrek Academy.

"Scam! Give us our money back!" A middle-aged man angrily slapped the registration desk. "Unqualified? My son was a top student at the junior academy!"

"The registration fee is ten Gold Coins. Once you register, there are no refunds." The teacher at the registration desk impatiently picked at his ear. "Let me repeat Shrek's rules, so none of you waste your money for nothing."

Seeing such outrageous rules, the middle-aged man sneered, "As if anyone could pass. This is obviously just a money-grabbing scam."

Dai Mubai, standing nearby, raised a hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight and looked into the distance. "Who said no one could pass?"

"Su Xiao, bring your friends to the front!" Dai Mubai called.

At Dai Mubai's request, Su Xiao led Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Xiao Bai to the very front of the line.

"Th-that's... a dragon?!" The people in line backed away one after another at the sight of Xiao Bai, afraid of being accidentally hurt by him.

Dai Mubai had not expected Su Xiao to have a five-hundred-year Sub-Dragon Soul Beast at his side.

"Is this Soul Beast your pet?" Teacher Li at the registration desk asked.

Su Xiao solemnly shook his head. "Xiao Bai is not my pet. He is my partner. Please rest assured, Teacher Li, Xiao Bai will not hurt anyone."

Teacher Li nodded and gestured for the three of them to hold out their hands. Xiao Wu was the first one he examined.

"Her age is suitable." Teacher Li gave Xiao Wu his assessment. "Hmm? Have you two cultivated something with your hands?"

Dai Mubai also recalled Su Xiao's hands from the day before, as hard as cast bronze and forged iron.

"Young Master Dai, let me introduce them. This is my brother, Tang San. This is Xiao San's younger sister, Xiao Wu. And Xiao Bai—he is my partner too. In my heart, he is just as important as Xiao San and Xiao Wu," Su Xiao said.

"Then the three of you are siblings, plus Xiao Bai?" Dai Mubai asked curiously.

Xiao Wu immediately denied it. "Third Brother is my brother, but Su Xiao isn't! As for Xiao Bai, he and I are the closest!"

Xiao Bai also roared in agreement.

"Your relationships are way too complicated." Dai Mubai could not help feeling a headache coming on.
