Ning Rongrong's Favor

Zhao Wuji stretched his body and still felt that something was off. Tang San stepped forward and said, "Teacher Zhao, I'll help you remove the Dragon Beard Needles from your body."

Zhao Wuji nodded in agreement. Tang San used Mystic Jade Hand in conjunction with Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon to extract the Dragon Beard Needles from more than a dozen acupoints.

Su Xiao walked over with a mischievous grin. "Teacher Zhao, we've all been admitted, right?"

Zhao Wuji was dissatisfied with Su Xiao, but there was no doubt that he was the most outstanding among the five. He nodded sullenly.

Hearing the news, everyone smiled.

"Dai Mubai, Oscar, you two arrange accommodations for the new students. The hidden weapons Su Xiao and Tang San threw are poisoned, so let them clean up their own mess." Zhao Wuji left gloomily.

Tang San was most worried about Xiao Wu. He settled her in first before considering anything else. Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing also moved into their quarters without issue.

As for Su Xiao, before dark, he found an open patch of land in Shrek and built a simple little nest for Xiao Bai. He also planned to build himself a house nearby.

"Su Xiao." A clear yet shy voice suddenly came from outside Xiao Bai's nest.

Su Xiao, who had been leaning against Xiao Bai, got to his feet and looked over. It was Ning Rongrong. She wore a white dress, clearly ill-suited to a place that had just gone through so much construction.

Su Xiao asked, "Did you need something?"

Ning Rongrong clasped her hands behind her back, lowered her head slightly, and occasionally glanced up at Su Xiao. "Um... Tang San has been taking care of Xiao Wu. I was bored, so I came out for a walk."

"Ah." Su Xiao scratched the back of his head, only half understanding. Why did he feel like this girl was interested in him? But he did not want to break up the original pairing.

"Is it called Xiao Bai?" Ning Rongrong asked proactively.

Su Xiao introduced them. "Xiao Bai, this is Ning Rongrong. She's my friend."

Xiao Bai was highly intelligent. It let out a friendly cry and extended its rhinoceros horn, wanting Ning Rongrong to pet it.

"Can I touch it?" Ning Rongrong looked at Su Xiao expectantly.

Su Xiao nodded. "Xiao Bai is my friend. It's smart and has thoughts of its own. Only people it's close to can touch its horn."

Ning Rongrong reached out with her soft, delicate hand and touched Xiao Bai's horn, then stroked its fur. It was an entirely new feeling, completely different from what she had imagined, and she unconsciously smiled.

Ning Rongrong asked in confusion, "Su Xiao, do you usually live with Xiao Bai?"

"No." Su Xiao pointed to an open patch of ground not far away. "My house used to be next to Xiao Bai's. I'm planning to rebuild a house there."

Just then, Xiao Bai suddenly nudged Ning Rongrong, signaling for her to take a look inside its nest.

Seeing the grass all over the ground, Ning Rongrong was clearly reluctant, so Su Xiao took the initiative and held out a hand to help her.

Ning Rongrong froze slightly, then suddenly grasped Su Xiao's outstretched hand and let him lead her into Xiao Bai's nest.

The place where Xiao Bai rested had already been flattened. Xiao Bai lay on the ground, and Su Xiao sat down beside it, leaning against its body as he invited Ning Rongrong over.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Ning Rongrong suddenly sat down beside Su Xiao and imitated him, lazily leaning against Xiao Bai's back.

Before they knew it, night had fallen. Su Xiao and Ning Rongrong chatted idly, gradually grew sleepy, and fell asleep leaning against each other. In his haze, Su Xiao heard Ning Rongrong say many things.

"I want a brother like Tang San too, someone who can protect me like he protects Xiao Wu..."

In the morning, the glaring sunlight shone on his face, waking Su Xiao. He felt Ning Rongrong nestled against his arm.

The dew and mist had yet to disperse, and the air was slightly chilly. Seeing Ning Rongrong curled up in a ball, Su Xiao took off his coat and draped it over her.

"Huh? Why is there a soul beast here? Could the dean have brought it for me to have some meat?" A chubby boy nearby was sneaking around suspiciously.

Who else could the fat boy wandering freely around Shrek be but Ma Hongjun? Su Xiao said coldly, "Don't even think about Xiao Bai."

"You say I can't eat it, so I can't? Some blind fool just ruined my love, and now seeing you two dating makes me furious! Come on, let your senior teach you a lesson!" Ma Hongjun's expression darkened.
