Background / History

Nangong Yu was Shrek Academy's chief and the direct disciple of Vice Dean Liu Erlong. Her reputation rested on overwhelming physical power: Dai Mubai had previously surrendered after being struck by her once. 56

She intervened when Tailong accused Su Xiao of injuring him. Su Xiao immediately recognized her as the girl he had become infatuated with and openly pursued her. Nangong Yu answered his confession by challenging him in the Soul Arena: if he won, she would become his girlfriend; if he lost, he would apologize to Tailong. 55

Her true form was later revealed as the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, a being significant to the Star Dou Great Forest. After Su Xiao confronted Di Tian to bring her back, Nangong Yu chose to leave the forest with Su Xiao. 123
