Lin Chichi walked out of the office and looked down the deep corridor.
Under the rows of lights, a group of people was striding toward her urgently.
At the front was a tall middle-aged man with slightly curly hair, followed by several people who looked like attendants.
This was Lin Chichi's first time dealing with the local World Tree Organization in Fickley. Her gaze swept over the middle-aged man and those behind him, observing their clothes and demeanor.
The middle-aged man spotted Lin Chichi from afar. He strode over with his head held high and chest out, extending a hand. "Miss Lin Chichi, pleased to meet you. I'm Doc."
"Hello, Mr. Doc."
Lin Chichi raised her hand and shook hands with the man, who resembled a proud rooster. Then she asked with slight confusion, "I recall that the files said the person in charge of the World Tree Organization in the Tlock Republic was a woman. Didn't she come?"
The Black Hair Youth behind her had just told her some basic information about the person in charge of the Tlock Republic.
"Miss Zenani is here."
Doc smiled and stepped aside, revealing the figure who had been standing behind him, almost completely hidden by his body.
A somewhat familiar silver short ponytail and white-framed glasses came into Lin Chichi's view.
It was the girl Lin Chichi had encountered while waiting for the elevator earlier.
"Y-you, hello,"
The girl standing behind Doc shrank back slightly. One hand clutched the hem of her gray knitted sweater while the other rose to greet Lin Chichi. In halting Middle Earth Language, she said, "All, all affairs of the Tlock Republic are handled entirely by Mr. Doc."
