"Explosions, explosions, explosions. Factories are exploding every day," the barbecue restaurant owner cursed as he changed the channel. "You wake up and the whole city is hallucinating, yet those Municipal Government bigshots are acting like nothing happened. Hallucinations, hallucinations—who knows whether it'll poison people to death?"
"Come on, what are you scared of? Everything we eat nowadays gets loaded with all kinds of additives and drugs anyway." A diner beside him picked up a piece of barbecue and took a huge bite. "So what if it kills us? What's the big deal?"
"Honestly, they handled this pretty quickly. It was dealt with that very night. Maybe the mayor's son was in the factory, or they wouldn't have been so efficient." Another diner laughed. "That hallucination drug dispersed in a day. We're not hallucinating anymore now, are we?"
"I heard some kid risked his life to go into the factory and shut off the valve. That was what stopped the hallucinogenic drugs from continuing to leak," someone suddenly chimed in.
"Seriously?" Another diner took a sip of alcohol. "What kid? That badass?"
"I don't know either. My third uncle works at the TV station, and he said it was an eighteen-year-old kid." The speaker took a bite of barbecue and spoke vaguely through it. "Anyway, the news will air soon. We'll know then."
"Heh, that damned Municipal Government has really fallen so low that it needs a kid to save the city." The first man to speak lifted his glass and took a drink. "If you ask me, the Municipal Government might as well shut down."
"Brother, you can't just say things like that," another person hurriedly stopped him.
