Ruins
Above the vast, desolate city, streaks of brilliant radiance gathered together, forming an enormous Starlight Figure.
The majestic figure stood beneath the heavens, raised its head, and gazed into the depths of the universe as if lost in thought.
Then, the Starlight Figure suddenly shattered, its body flowing outward like water and vanishing into the deepest reaches of the void.

Inside the café
He Ao opened his eyes, picked up the still-steaming coffee before him, and took a sip.
Then he shifted his gaze toward the crowds passing outside the window.
So, I died?
At the end of that "dream," "he" had crossed the spacetime barrier, driven back the Starlight Figure, and perished together with the Navigator, carrying the Main World's immense power with him to end the descent.
And as the price, "he" had also died in that battle.
If this was some kind of prophecy, then it seemed he did not have many days left to live.
Several children chased and played as they ran down the street outside.
The Main World's status and power both seemed formidable. Forcefully drawing upon the World Core's power could indeed briefly drive back the Starlight Figure and accomplish what had been done in that dream.
But it would inevitably weaken the Main World's control over itself, throwing its internal structure into chaos. On the ground, that would manifest as a world-ending disaster.
Even if He Ao evacuated the population in advance, he could not guarantee that everyone in the Main World would reach a safe place.
Based on his current experience, that disaster would likely kill at least one-third of the world's population.
Use one-third of the world's lives, along with his own sacrifice, in exchange for preventing the apocalyptic outcome from the prophecy?
