Sitting on the front sofa, Anke looked at Geslo beside him and asked cautiously.
"My great-grandfather, grandfather, and father," Geslo poured himself a glass of wine and said slowly, "all served the Eric Family." "Hereditary retainers," He Ao's voice sounded beside Anke's ear.
Anke turned to Geslo and asked curiously, "So Eric's family is very powerful?"
"Very powerful indeed," Geslo said with a smile. "His ancestor was one of the Federation's founders. His grandfather and great-grandfather both served as senators and entered the cabinet at Graystone Palace. His father was once the Speaker of Ilotran, while he himself is a congressman from Ilotran. After the new mayor formed the cabinet, he became Minister of City Defense."
"That badass?" Anke asked curiously. "So he's one of those legendary blue-blooded nobles of the Federation?"
"That wouldn't be wrong," Geslo nodded slightly.
"Then why is he running this kind of 'committee'?" Anke pressed on. "Wouldn't overthrowing the Federation mean overthrowing his own family?"
