Inner Church Hall
Bright light streamed through the stained-glass windows, shining between the wooden pews. Several men in casual clothes appeared in the center of the church.
"Is this the false church of those heretics?"
A Thin Man glanced at the "holy" scene around the church. "No matter how convincing their disguise is, they're still Heretical Believers who have twisted the guidance of Eternal Radiance."
"Be careful,"
the Glasses Man standing beside him said softly. "Those Heretical Believers stole the power of Eternal Radiance and fused it into this church. Some things in here carry the power of a god. Even a B-rank might be devoured."
"It's fine,"
another burly man, who was also looking around, chimed in. "As long as we follow the rules here, nothing will happen."
"Indeed."
The Glasses Man nodded. "Everyone, be careful. Act according to the intelligence provided by the leader, but the false church should have activated its 'anti-intrusion' mode by now. Most of the information we know may already be invalid. Be wary of the strange things appearing in the church, and follow the rules of this church."
"Alright!" "Yes!" "Got it!"
Voices of agreement rose from the crowd.
"We have to follow the false church's rules? Doesn't that mean we're acknowledging them?"
Amid those agreeing voices, someone suddenly spoke.
Everyone's expressions darkened.
"Ahem,"
the Glasses Man coughed. "We aren't following the false church's rules. We're respecting the power of Eternal Radiance that the false church stole."
"That's right,"
the burly man added. "We're merely showing respect for the great Eternal Radiance."
"Don't scare yourselves too much,"
a Thin Man stepped out of the crowd and looked at the grand stained-glass windows with a sneer. "These Heretical Believers love messing around with all sorts of supernatural nonsense."
