The flowing wind swept across emerald green blades of grass, and the Old Train was parked above a flowing stream.

He Ao opened the door and stepped out of the train.

A wolf-type monster prowling nearby suddenly leaped out and tore at his body, only for him to punch straight through it with a casual blow and toss it down among the grass and gravel below.

The monsters that had been eyeing him greedily slowly curled up and lowered their heads.

He Ao's gaze did not fall on those monsters, but on the desolate city at the edge of his vision.

He could vaguely see rust-covered robots moving among the city streets.

This was his second time visiting the ruins.

The civilization of the ruins seemed to have been destroyed for centuries, yet the "traces" they had left behind—those dazzling technological creations—were still functioning normally.

The Artificial Sun brought light and energy to this land, allowing the life left on this planet to continue multiplying and surviving, while the "Creator" who had made all of it had long since passed away.

And just as He Ao looked up at the sky, distorted clouds slowly appeared in the depths of the distant heavens.

A trembling pressure emerged at the end of his vision and continued spreading toward where He Ao stood.

He Ao raised his hand, and an object flickering constantly between paper and ashes appeared in his palm.

Echoes of the Past.

This thing seemed to be an extension of the vast "Echoes of the Past Ruins." By activating its power, he could follow its connection to the Echoes of the Past Ruins and open a passage leading there.

He Ao stared at the Echoes of the Past in his hand, watching the invisible "connection" it extended into the void.
