"Rescued?"
Standing beneath a large garden umbrella, the tall Old Man reached out and touched the raindrops outside.
"Yes."
The middle-aged officer nodded lightly, his voice filled with disbelief.
"To be precise, it was the mayor who saved First Mecha Squad.
"He first dealt with Lieka's Mecha himself, then discovered the disguised High-Energy Guided Missiles before the Mecha Squad did and warned them, allowing them to adjust their cannons. Without that warning, First Mecha Squad would likely have been wiped out."

"That's right."
The middle-aged officer's voice rose slightly. "He personally piloted a Floating Fighter as bait, using several high-mobility maneuvers to change the missiles' course and create a suitable opportunity for the Mecha Squad to attack. He also determined the targeting data himself, allowing the Mecha Squad to make predictive attacks. In the end, they intercepted those missiles at the very last moment."
"That sounds like something he would do."
The Old Man nodded slightly, then seemed to realize something and asked with some confusion, "You said he piloted
