"Mr. Lynn?"
The young officer, along with a group of officers, followed armored soldiers through the scattered crowd to the deepest part of the hall. There, they saw Old Man sitting in a room with several military doctors, bandaging the wounded.
"You're from the Third Brigade? Hold on a moment."
He Ao quickly finished bandaging the wound on the soldier's hand before him, then injected a hemostatic agent with a syringe. Looking at the soldier, he said slowly, "Lean against this wall. Don't move around. Wait for the hemostatic to take effect."
"Okay."
The soldier nodded stiffly.
At that moment, He Ao also rose to his feet. He looked up at the arriving officers and walked toward them.
"Mr. Lynn, Brigade Commander Mide is at the City Gate Control Center... quelling the rebellion. He may arrive a little later."
Seemingly noticing He Ao's gaze sweep across him, the young officer quickly explained.
"Mm, I know."
He Ao smiled. "He's doing the right thing. Protecting the city gates is the top priority."
Then he glanced at the officers present. "Are all the Officers of the Third Brigade here?"
"Other than Brigade Commander Mide, everyone is here. He told us all to come."
The young officer hurriedly replied. Then he hesitated and looked at the wounded nearby. "Over here...?"
"We ran into a few minor problems, but fortunately, everyone was brave enough. In the end, we put down the rebellion."
He Ao smiled and stepped out of the small room.
"Minor problems?"
The young officer looked at the hall covered in blood, swallowed, then turned to glance around.
There were only busy City Defense Army soldiers nearby. There was no sign of any additional "bodyguards."
His thoughts paused slightly as his gaze settled on Old Man, who had already left the room.
