At dusk, a student suddenly hurried into the Great Hall and shouted at the students having dinner, "Big news, big news! The Ministry of Magic has sent Aurors—they're outside!"
The students enjoying their dinner all stopped eating and looked up at the shouting student. Even the professors who had been speaking in low voices stopped their conversation and turned to look at him, wanting to find out what had happened.
"What's going on?" someone asked, voicing everyone's doubts.
"I just saw Umbridge bring several Aurors from the Ministry of Magic," the boy said breathlessly. "I really don't know why she brought Aurors to the school."
"Are you sure they're Aurors from the Ministry of Magic?" someone asked skeptically.
"Why aren't those people out catching escaped Dark Wizards? What are they doing at school?" someone said angrily.
At that moment, everyone could be certain that Umbridge had brought a group of helpers from the Ministry of Magic for some unknown reason. Many people grabbed slices of bread and followed the crowd outside, wanting to see what Umbridge was up to.
"What do you think the toad wants to do?"
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan looked at Albert with some unease, hoping to hear his speculation and judgment on the matter.
"Umbridge is coming in force, so it can't be anything good. She's probably here to deal with Peeves." Albert looked up at Professor McGonagall, who was frowning as she headed out of the Great Hall, and quickened his pace of eating.
"Deal with Peeves?"
Hearing Albert say that the toad had not brought Aurors to deal with them, the three of them could not help but breathe a sigh of relief. Still, they did not forget to curse Umbridge for playing dirty.
Peeves had caused Umbridge no shortage of trouble lately.
