"So, Percy really was the spy you secretly planted in the Ministry of Magic?"
Ever since they had grown suspicious about Percy, the Weasley twins had found time to ask Albert about it.

"Percy is a very ambitious man. He longs for success—you both know that. He wants to climb higher and change his fate. That's simply reality."
"Back when we were still at school, he came to me. I gave him some career advice and helped him out a little, while he helped me gather information from the Ministry of Magic. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement."
Albert made a shushing gesture at the complicated-looking Weasley brothers. "Of course, this sort of thing can't be revealed to others. It concerns Percy's personal safety, after all."
"No wonder that guy didn't join the Death Eaters," Fred couldn't help grumbling. "Come to think of it, when he fell out with the family back then, could that have been..."

"That really does sound like something he'd do—taking all the benefits for himself!" George mocked himself. "No matter who won in the end, he'd be able to face it calmly."
"No, he'd probably still rather see us defeat The Dark Lord in the end. No one wants to live in an environment that terrible." Albert paused and looked toward the doorway. Penelope was standing there with her arms folded, seeming as though she had something she wanted to say to him.
