The Death Eaters had intended to deal with the Aurors occupying Hogsmeade Village this way. Now, they were receiving the same brutal beating.
The results were terrifyingly effective.
After that barrage, most of the Dark Wizards lost their lives. Even those lucky enough to survive the bombardment had lost most of their ability to resist.
Only the Dementors, which were immune to the explosions, recovered from the bombardment and surged toward the Aurors who had Apparated outside the village.
The Aurors had naturally come prepared when they returned so quickly. They each summoned their Patronuses, which collided with the mass of black-cloaked Dementors flooding toward them.
The outcome of this clash between black and white was self-evident.
The Dementors that crashed headlong into the large number of Patronuses immediately scattered under their natural counter, driven fleeing in all directions by the Patronuses.
Another group of Aurors who had not stopped to summon Patronuses charged straight into the village under the Patronuses' protection, systematically cutting down every dark wizard who could still stand.
The bombed senseless dark wizards were no match for them and all fell beneath the Aurors' spells. Abforth and the others followed behind, cleaning up the aftermath and finishing off every dark wizard to ensure none of them suddenly sprang up and attacked their side.
Looking at the mangled corpses scattered everywhere, Abforth could not help marveling at the power of Liquid Luck. The thing those Dark Wizards had wanted to do but failed to accomplish had actually been achieved by him and his people.
At first, Abforth had thought Albert was simply indulging in a fantasy. Yet when they put it into practice, everything went so smoothly. Those Dark Wizards had seemed like figures made of clay, dealt with effortlessly by them.
There was nothing strange about
