Though he did not know why, McNeil had an awful feeling. He suspected that everyone had fallen into the carefully woven trap Albert Anderson had laid from the very beginning, and that the Dark Lord might truly die here!

The moment that thought entered his mind, an inexplicable fear surged up in his heart.

Just as McNeil prepared to act on it and turn to flee, his body suddenly trembled, and he froze where he stood.

"We've already come this far. I will never allow failure. I will never allow anyone to run. And I will never allow anyone to dare betray the Dark Lord."
