If the Death Eaters truly threw caution to the wind and led all the Dark Wizards in a full-scale assault on Hogwarts, Albert would have had no particularly good solution. All he could do was have everyone follow the preparations they had made in advance and descend into a chaotic battle with the invading Dark Wizards. They would not have been able to handle that rabble as calmly as they were now, since they had never held any numerical advantage to begin with.
When the Dark Wizards launched an orderly attack, however, it actually worked in their favor, because expecting Dark Wizards to be orderly was practically a dream.
In such a situation, they could simply respond to whatever came their way and further weaken the threat posed by the Dark Wizards.
Many things left traces to follow, especially since Albert had already given everyone a pre-battle briefing. Once they all knew how to deal with the enemy, they could face the enemies attacking them head-on with greater composure.
After all, Liquid Luck was limited. It was impossible for everyone to receive a dose.
That was also the main reason Albert had secretly controlled Yaxley. He had not had Yaxley sabotage Voldemort, but instead had him continuously offer Voldemort constructive plans in order to gain his trust.
It sounded rather ridiculous, but there was no denying that the returns had been exceedingly generous.
Even Voldemort probably did not want to believe that both of his right-hand men were spies planted by the enemy.
How much of a failure would that make him?
Naturally, Voldemort approved Yaxley's plan of attack.
No one wanted their forces to be a complete mess, charging forward all at once like a ragtag army.
Especially when the bastard on the other side was such a scheming
