The sea of clouds was vast and boundless. White clouds shifted into gray dogs, ever-changing and unpredictable.

Within the sea of clouds, Immortal Mountains and lofty platforms floated one after another. The empty mountains were silent, the high platforms soundless; no one knew where the immortals had gone.

Su Yun carefully searched in every direction.

Yet he reached out, trying to take down the painting. To his surprise, the scroll and painting seemed branded into the air, utterly unmoving.

He shifted his steps and tried to go around it, but the painting blocked his path exactly, preventing him from reaching Uncle Qu's side.

The painting stood there like a wall.

Su Yun frowned. Just then, from the corner of his eye, he saw something fly through the clouds, vaguely resembling a streak of flowing light.

His eyes began to ache faintly again.

"That's right—it's that sword!"

Su Yun's mind grew unsettled. It was the sword that had blinded him.

He had not clearly seen the shape of the light, but the stabbing pain in his eyes could not possibly be mistaken!

The sword that had flown out of Heaven Gate toward Tianmen Town six years ago had appeared again!

Cold sweat beaded on Su Yun's forehead. He hesitated no longer and immediately turned to run toward Heaven Gate. At the same time, that strange sword cry rang out beside his ears once more!

"Let heaven and earth be the furnace, creation the craftsman; yin and yang the charcoal, all things the copper! Gathering and dispersing, waxing and waning—how could there be any constant rule?"

Su Yun silently recited the Great Furnace Transformation: Qi Cultivation Chapter. As he stepped forward, his strides grew heavier and wider.

As he raced onward, he activated the Great Furnace Transformation technique. His heart became a mighty great furnace, and yin-yang qi turned into charcoal fire, igniting that furnace!

His blood was like melted copper, surging through his body with a roaring rush like turbulent waters!

Great Furnace Transformation—creation as craftsman—caused his strength to erupt at this moment.

As his strength exploded, the surging vital qi in his chest began to rise fiercely, crashing and winding through his chest like waves turning a thousand times, until it finally became the first resounding, muffled thunderclap!

Crocodile Dragon's Roar!

His strength was like a crocodile dragon rising from his tailbone, climbing onto his spine, passing through all thirty-three vertebrae. As he ran, his spine swayed like a Crocodile Dragon on the Spine, roaming through the winding marsh!

His feet seemed to have grown the sharp claws of a crocodile dragon. Whenever they struck the bridge, those claws gripped its surface, and each leap carried him more than a zhang.

The sword cry drew nearer and nearer, while Su Yun closed in on the broken bridge and Heaven Gate!

Whoosh—

A blinding light flashed forth. The immortal sword burst from the clouds, its sword light illuminating the world. Though the light was brilliant, Su Yun's vision was nothing but darkness.

Under that sword light, he could not see anything.

Just as six years ago, he was blind.

Su Yun's expression remained unchanged as he continued sprinting at full speed. Above his head, the Yellow Bell turned steadily, without the slightest disorder.

As the Yellow Bell revolved, his mind calculated his speed and position, using them to determine where he had reached and how far he remained from the break in the stone bridge.

Every second, even every instant, his calculations were incomparably precise!

"Six years. For six whole years, I have grown used to the darkness!"

Su Yun took his final step, landing precisely on the edge of the broken bridge. He leaped forward like a crocodile dragon pouncing from a deep pool and abyss toward its prey!

His momentum was incomparably savage, overflowing with wilderness, flamboyance, and primordial wildness!

Qiu Shuijing judged people with uncanny accuracy. He had not been wrong—Su Yun truly harbored a terrifying, untamable wildness within him!

Usually, that wildness hid beneath the youth's frail exterior. But at the critical juncture between life and death, it erupted completely!

"Mooong-gu—"

Suspended in midair, Su Yun's chest heaved violently as he exhaled thunderous sounds. His body seemed to become a crocodile dragon bursting from the water, transforming into a flood dragon, soaring like a dragon in the heavens and bathing in lightning tribulation!

Crocodile Dragon Emerges from the Abyss and Crocodile Dragon's Roll flowed together in one seamless motion!

Behind him, the immortal sword howled along the bridge deck. The moment his figure vanished into Heaven Gate, it shot toward Su Yun within the gate with a whoosh.

At that same instant, Heaven Gate disappeared!

The immortal sword struck empty air.

Su Yun passed through Heaven Gate. A powerful sensation of falling and weightlessness hit him, and then his vision suddenly went dark as his spirit returned to his body.

He was still sitting where he had been, cultivating the Great Furnace Transformation. He had never left.

The warm morning sun had already risen high overhead. Su Yun felt the sun's warmth and the delicate caress of the sea breeze, and his wildly pounding heart gradually calmed.

"That world really is like a dream."

The youth rose to his feet. Though his eyes still could not see anything, a smile appeared on his face.

"Like a dream hidden within my eyes. Yet it is real."

He activated the Great Furnace Transformation, igniting the great furnace of heaven and earth within his body. His blood circulated, heavy as molten copper and iron, carrying qi and blood throughout his entire body.

"Mooong-gu!"

Four thunderous sounds mixed together into a dragon's roar from within him. Su Yun moved his feet, his qi and blood churning as he pounced forward like a humanoid crocodile dragon!

At that moment, Flower Fox and the other three little foxes all had their fur stand on end. Su Yun made them feel as though a crocodile dragon had rushed from a great abyss, transformed, and become a vicious flood dragon!

Whoosh—

Su Yun's right leg swept backward, making the air hum and tremble. In their daze, the four foxes seemed to see a flood dragon covered in hardened muscles violently swing its tail.

Vital qi filled the blood in Su Yun's right leg. His qi and blood swelled, and jagged, ferocious scales could vaguely be seen upon his leg and foot!

They were formed from qi and blood, filling his right leg and pushing the force of that sweep to its utmost limit!

Next came Dragon Roaming the Winding Marsh, Dragon Fights in the Field, Crocodile Dragon's Roll, and other moves, unfolding one after another through his body. Flower Fox and the other four foxes only felt that a savage, vicious flood dragon was stretching its body and circling them with agile steps. Before them, behind them, to their left and right—everywhere was the flood dragon's body.

It seemed they had been surrounded by an evil flood dragon!

Suddenly, the strange phenomenon vanished.

Su Yun returned to his original position. His feet stood shoulder-width apart, his body upright and straight, his hands held together before his chest as he slowly pressed them down.

His palms pressed downward, yet the vital qi within his body sank into his dantian before rising along his spine.

Pop, pop, pop!

His vital qi burst through the fascia between his vertebrae, like a crocodile dragon crawling up his spine. It climbed all the way to his neck, then to the back of his head.

When that vital qi reached the jade pillow bone, his qi and blood flowed to his back, forming the texture of a flood dragon directly on the surface of his skin, as though a dragon tattoo had been inked across his back.

The four little foxes opened their mouths wide. They could not see the dragon tattoo on Su Yun's body, but they saw dragon claws extending from his sleeves and merging with his palms.

"Qi-Blood Manifestation!"

Flower Fox's heart trembled. Su Yun had cultivated Crocodile Dragon on the Spine to the level of manifestation in such a short time!

Although Qiu Shuijing had not taught them every secret of Crocodile Dragon's Roar, the latter portion of the Great Furnace Transformation: Qi Cultivation Chapter, he had roughly explained some of its principles.

Crocodile Dragon's Roar had three levels of attainment. The first was cultivating Crocodile Dragon Thunderclap, where vital qi and blood flowed and stirred the chest to produce thunderous sounds.

The second was manifestation. Wherever vital qi and blood flowed, they formed dragon tattoos. Once the qi and blood dispersed, the dragon tattoos vanished.

The third attainment was materialization.

That was when qi and blood became powerful to a certain degree, allowing one to create the phenomenon of a crocodile dragon coiling around one's body behind or around oneself through qi and blood alone!

Flower Fox was puzzled. Su Yun had clearly not even mastered the first level of the Great Furnace Transformation: Qi Cultivation Chapter, so how had he suddenly mastered the latter Crocodile Dragon's Roar—and even reached its second level of attainment?

The first attainment was not easy to achieve. It required exceptional talent and comprehension. Flower Fox had only just entered this level and had not yet cultivated it to its peak.

To cultivate it to perfection, he estimated that he would need a month or so of effort.

The second attainment was even more difficult. Qi-Blood Manifestation depended above all on qi and blood; one needed abundant qi and flourishing blood!

His expression grew solemn.

Entering that wondrous world through Heaven Gate was exceedingly dangerous. The slightest carelessness could result in being buried beneath that immortal sword!
