On the way to escorting the mother and son out of the stadium, Harry ran into two more Muggles with children.
After getting them somewhere safe, Harry returned to the stadium. The Werewolves' attack had come suddenly, and their retreat had been swift as well.
Hermione stood in the middle of the stadium, looking up at the glowing sphere floating in midair. The people around the stadium were watching it too, and Dumbledore's Deluminator was in Hermione's hand.
"Hermione," Harry called.
Hermione turned to look at Harry.
They stared at each other silently for a moment. Harry slowly walked over, and together they looked at the magical sphere of light.
"It was no use guarding him there. Other places needed me more," Hermione said with difficulty. "So I came."
"I'm glad you came," Harry said calmly. "I'm heading into the city next. Can you take charge of the stadium?"
"Me?" she asked in disbelief.
"You're the director of the House-elf Resettlement Committee. Cleaning up is what they're good at."
Only then did Hermione come back to herself.
"The war has only just begun," Harry said. "We need every force we can draw upon."

Harry smiled and patted Hermione on the shoulder. "Well done."

Anfield Stadium had real grass. Red blood was splattered across it, and now and then, muffled sobs could be heard.
Though humans appeared to have won this battle, no one felt like celebrating. It reminded Harry of the aftermath of the Battle of Hogwarts, except it had been daylight when that war ended, while the night still stretched on now.
