"The Simple, Honest Big Sister"

In Gone with the Wind, after the war ended, Scarlett's sister Su was always complaining that farm work had made her hands rough, that hands were a woman's second face, and so on.

Su had been so eager to leave that painful life behind and rush toward the "happiness" she longed for: becoming a city woman, having a small, cozy home, and running a little grocery shop with Frank.

Maybe she could even hire someone, so her hands would not become rough.

Scarlett, meanwhile, was trying to raise money to pay the cotton tax imposed by the new government and save the plantation.

Compared with a small apartment in Atlanta, Twelve Oaks Plantation was undoubtedly far more luxurious. But after the war, it had fallen into ruin, and rebuilding it would not be easy.

If Scarlett had not gone looking for Frank back then, and Rhett Butler had lent her the money instead, what would Su, living in a small Atlanta apartment, have felt while watching her sister live in a rebuilt, luxurious plantation?

"What is this?" Pomona asked Felix, holding up the drawing in her hand.

"A Dragon!" the young man said matter-of-factly.

Pomona looked at the long, lizard-like creature in the picture, which seemed to have eaten something bad and was sticking out its tongue in a dry heave. She truly could not connect it with a "Dragon."

"I don't remember Dragons looking like this," Pomona said tactfully. "Did you read the book I gave you?"

"Of course," Felix said.

"Then why did you draw it like this?"

"I like Dragons like this."

Fiona was unmoved by their exchange. She still seemed to be considering Severus's suggestion at lunch yesterday: that Felix should not attend a magic school, but instead receive training as a sorcerer born for war.
