"Crunch, crunch, crunch."

The crisp sound of chewing echoed beside Severus Snape.

Compared to the terrible movie playing on the screen, that crunching sound was even harder for him to endure.

"Are you planning to finish that entire bucket of popcorn by yourself?" he said impatiently.

"Want some?" she took it to mean something else and generously set the bucket in front of him.

"No, thank you," he said sarcastically, then shifted around, trying to find a relatively comfortable position in the excessively soft chair.

"Are you sitting on needles?" she asked.

"I can understand Quidditch, but why watch a movie?" Snape complained. "The air in here is stale, and it's darker than a dungeon."

"Because I want to watch a movie," Pomona said righteously. "And I don't want to watch it alone."

"So you dragged me here?" Snape threatened darkly.

"Want some cola?" Pomona held out a can to him.

"No." He looked at the carbonated drink with utter distaste.

"You're even more like someone raised in the wizarding world than actual pure-bloods, Severus. Didn't you drink cola as a child?" Pomona asked. "Or were you expecting Muggles to invent pumpkin juice-flavored soda?"

He recalled his bleak childhood and fell silent, turning his gaze to the large screen.

It was a popcorn movie, telling the story of a mummy and tomb raiders. At the moment, scarabs were burrowing beneath one of the tomb raiders' skin, and gasps rose throughout the theater.

"How ridiculous." He gave a mocking laugh.

"It's much better than a mummy grabbing living people and biting them," Pomona said as she chewed her popcorn. "I need the flesh and blood of the living~"

"You know it isn't real," Snape said.

"We happen to be studying Egypt lately, and the theater just happens to be showing this.
