As the strange birds slowly descended, everyone finally saw what they looked like.

They were not human-headed, bird-bodied Harpies, but large black birds. The feathers beneath their wings were white, and they had long beaks somewhat like seagulls'.

"Are these birds dangerous?" Fiegel asked.

"No." Georgiana lowered her guard and let out a long breath. "Did you bring any food?"

A cavalryman pulled a piece of cheese from his bag.

"This is all I have." He shrugged helplessly.

She took the cheese, crumbled it, and scattered it over the clearing.

The two birds quickly landed and began pecking at the cheese on the ground.

"What are they?" Fiegel asked.

"Do you know about the Giant Wars?" Georgiana asked.

"What?" Fiegel asked in confusion.

"You can think of them as guide birds, as long as you give them something tasty enough." She sighed helplessly. "They originally lived in the forests of Central Europe. During the Giant Wars, they guided humans to attack the Giants' dwellings."

Fiegel probably felt as if she were speaking the language of another planet.

Georgiana did not explain further.

Durmstrang was a famous school of dark magic, yet it was located in Scandinavia rather than Germany, where the Forbidden Forest was. It could be said that there were no magical training institutions anywhere within Germany.
