After a burst of screams, Neville fell onto the soft grass.
Seeing his miserable landing posture, Pomona thought that even with a Portkey, she would have to worry about his safety. But she soon realized she had worried for nothing.
Neville staggered to his feet, then, still dizzy and disoriented, fell back to the ground.
She could not help shaking her head. Supporting the Portkey-sick Neville, she headed toward the Scamander family home.
The house could no longer be seen, but it was not protected by the Fidelius Charm. Once one knew there was a house here, all one had to do was stride forward and pass through the protective magic to see a different view. Everything at the Scamander family home was as usual.
She walked to the door and knocked. Before long, it opened, and surprisingly, it was not Tina who answered.
"What happened to him?" Newt asked, staring at Neville.
"He got dizzy from the fall. Can we come in?" Pomona asked.
Newt let the two of them inside, and Pomona settled Neville into a chair in the living room.
"What happened to him?" Tina asked, holding a teapot as she prepared breakfast.
"He got dizzy from the fall," Newt said. "What brings you here today?"
"I'll tell you once he wakes up," Pomona said to Newt. "This is his summer homework."
Newt shrugged and looked at Tina. "I'm going downstairs."
"Oh, right, there's one more thing," Pomona said. "Albus told me your brother has a very beautiful tie. Do you know what that means?"
Newt, who had been about to go downstairs, stopped.
"I've made tea. Would you like some?" Tina asked.
"No, I—"
But before Pomona could finish, Tina had already dragged her out of the living room.
