From the portrait Helga Hufflepuff had left at Hogwarts, it was clear that she had been a round, plump woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She often wore either a gentle or radiant smile, usually dressed in brown or yellow gowns, with Hufflepuff's Cup in her hand.

Pomona's clothes were also mainly yellow. When she opened her wardrobe, she felt rather depressed. How was it any different from that old bat of Slytherin's wardrobe full of black clothes?

Then she remembered the gown at Elegant Wizard Robes, shimmering like moonlight, and let out a long sigh.

Today, she chose a yellow long dress with black botanical patterns. Once she put it on, she would probably go from looking like a fluffy cake to a fluffy patterned cake.

At the last minute, she added a few small white flowers to the skirt. Though they could not change the problem of her figure, they at least gave the dress a touch of "magic," making it resemble Blackroot, with its black stems and white blossoms.

It had the power to ward off enchantments. In Homer's epic Odyssey, Odysseus had used it to defeat the witch Circe, who often used magical food to turn sailors lost around her island into animals. After the hero Odysseus freed his companions from her spell, he spent a year on her island.

If the Iliad was a road outward, then the Odyssey told of the road home. It was far from peaceful, filled with every sort of temptation and adventure, yet Odysseus still found a way to return to the home he had been separated from for many years.

Dobby was a free House-elf. After leaving the Malfoy family, he had not felt "exiled" like other House-elves might have. Instead, he went wherever he wanted.
