James and Lily had left Harry quite a few gold coins at Gringotts. To Harry, who had suffered neglect in the Muggle world for so long, it seemed like a considerable sum. But if he spent it the way his godfather Sirius Black did, it probably would not last until he came of age.

So Pomona volunteered to help Harry sort through his accounts. It was not as though she had anything else to do.

Since Harry had no living blood relatives apart from Petunia, she first went to find the guardian who had signed his Hogsmeade permission form. As expected, Albus had handed all of Harry's assets over to Sirius to manage, but...

"What is this?" Pomona asked in astonishment as she looked at that stack of ledgers.

"The Potter family are also Hogwarts governors," Sirius said casually. "The war needed a great deal of funding after it began, so he donated the inheritance Fleamont and Euphemia left him."

Pomona then remembered how generously Harry had lent his Triwizard Tournament prize money to the Weasley twins to start their business.

"Harry doesn't know?" Pomona asked.

"I don't think he has the time," Sirius said, taking a sip of Firewhisky. The fiery drink seemed capable of driving away the cold Azkaban and the North Sea had accumulated inside him. "He's too busy to write back to me now."

Pomona felt that Sirius was a little too dependent on his godson.

"What about these?" Pomona asked, taking out a stack of newer-looking ledgers.

"The Hair Regrowth Potion Company went bankrupt. Those assets were used to repay the creditors," Sirius said.

"So all he has left is that house in Godric's Hollow? Why didn't he file for bankruptcy?" Pomona asked angrily.

"It was Albus's idea," Sirius said calmly. "It will benefit Harry."
