Today had truly been a busy day.
As Pomona ate, she watched the noisy students in the Great Hall and thought about how, not long after Albus's accident, Katie Bell had also suffered an "accident." Unlike Albus's situation, however, several people had witnessed it. The scene was said to have been quite shocking, so after the students returned from Hogsmeade, everyone had been talking about it, and word had quickly spread throughout the school.
"How is Albus?" Minerva asked.
Pomona turned and found that Flitwick had arrived.
"He's stable for now," Flitwick said, though he seemed unwilling to reveal much more and began eating straight away.
"Why aren't you eating?" Pomona noticed that Minerva had barely touched the food on her plate.

Pomona glanced toward Severus's usual place. He had not come to the Great Hall for dinner. Counting lunch, he had gone a whole day without eating.
"This won't do," Pomona muttered. After hastily finishing the food on her plate, she took several rolls from the table and headed up the stairs. Before she had gone far, she heard footsteps coming down. Soon, she met Severus.
His expression was even grimmer than usual, his brows drawn tightly together.
"I thought you might be hungry." Pomona
