Pomona came to Hogsmeade. She had deliberately chosen a day that was not a holiday, so she could avoid the crowded throngs.

"Boss, is my Bat's Blood Soup ready?"

"It's ready." The owner of Honeydukes said, placing the Bat's Blood Soup into dozens of small oak barrels.

He could have enlarged the oak barrels with an Extension Charm, but that was illegal.

"Hi, Pomona." Flitwick, passing by the entrance, greeted her.

"What are you doing here, Filius?" she asked.

"I came to send a letter," Filius said. "I need an owl capable of international flight."

It had to be said that the pet owl Hagrid had chosen for Harry, Hedwig, was a fine bird. Strong and intelligent, she was fully capable of international flights.

"Please wait a moment. I still need to buy a few other things," Pomona said, then walked over to Flitwick. "Could you do me a favor?"

"What do you need help with?" Flitwick asked.

"Help me write a tune. I want to turn plant taxonomy into a song," Pomona said. "You know, the 'innovation' Albus asked of us."

"Good idea. Perhaps I can turn the contents of Charms into songs too," Flitwick said.

Pomona smiled. She did not think turning spells into songs would help anyone cast them.

They waved goodbye, and Pomona returned to Honeydukes.

She wanted to buy a "gift hamper" for Hagrid, not only because Hagrid had helped her acquire Acromantula venom. Grawp probably had not eaten sweets in a long time, and children ought to have sweets.

"Hagrid!"

Carrying a picnic basket, Pomona arrived in the Forbidden Forest near Grawp's "home."

Muggles treated the forest as a dump, throwing all sorts of things into it.

Just then, she heard the clear jingling of a bicycle bell.
