"All right, I'm starting!" Charlie shouted. Then he pointed his wand at the ground and cast the Farmer's Growth Charm.
Pomona, Lizzie, and Hagrid also raised their wands and cast growth charms on the Bubotubers.
To conserve magic and ripen as many Bubotubers as possible with spells, they only resorted to muscle power afterward.
As for Charlie, he had come to deliver the finished nightgown to Pomona as an errand for his mother and, while he was at it, see whether Barnaby and the others needed help.
Thanks to Barnaby's broom and Ben's adjustments, Charlie had become Gryffindor's Seeker. Molly felt that if Barnaby and the others needed help, Charlie ought to do everything he could.
At Hogwarts, if you needed help, all you had to do was ask. There would always be someone to help you.
And so, Charlie appeared in the orchard of the Forbidden Forest.
Under the effects of the Farmer's Growth Charm, the Bubotubers grew quickly. In just ten minutes, they were ready to be "harvested."
The four of them gathered the gasoline-smelling tubers and put them into a pool that had been prepared beforehand, leaving Grawp to wash them himself.
Only after they had finished everything did they sit down and drink a bottle of Invigoration Potion each, finally feeling as though they had recovered.
"Now it's up to you, Hagrid," Pomona said.
"Thank you all," Hagrid said.
"Get me a dragon egg next time," Charlie said with a grin.
"That's illegal," Lizzie said primly.
Pomona did not know whether the Potions professors would accept the Bubotuber pus from those pools, but after working all day, she wanted to go back and rest too.
