Severus had many kinds of plant leaves in his private collection, but Pomona did not know whether he had tea leaves. After all, he rarely entertained guests and did not like tea. He did have several bottles of wine, though.
However, since they were going to discuss legal matters, it was best to keep their heads clear. As she reached the door, she heard a faint sound. Following it, she discovered it came from the tank where the leeches were kept.
She truly thought those things were ugly. Luckily, she had excelled in school and had never been given detention by Slughorn or earned his grudge, forcing her to squeeze juice from leeches.
The sound had come from an "escaped" leech. It had landed on an overturned bowl. It looked different from the others and was a little larger, which was why it had made such a loud thud.
Beside the overturned bowl was a bottle of brown potion. Pomona instinctively picked it up.
"Don't touch that!" A hand snatched the bottle from hers.
"When you don't know what's inside." The owner of that hand spoke viciously.
"What's inside it?" Pomona asked.
Severus stared down at her with a cold expression.
"That thing is getting away. Aren't you going to put it back?" Pomona pointed at the leech.
"You can put it back," he said in a silky voice.
"Ew~~~" Pomona made a disgusted face.
"That thing is in the Polyjuice Potion you drank too..."
"Stop talking!" Pomona covered her ears.
He gave a scornful smile and tossed the leech, which had begun wriggling faster at the sound, back into the tank.
"This is Confundus Potion." Severus held up the bottle. "It has much the same effect as a Confundus Charm, except it can last for several hours."
