Aristotle once asked: Why did people gather together?

Although everyone who came to study at Hogwarts had received an acceptance letter, not everyone came to learn.

Some had achieved outstanding results in Quidditch and become professional players; others had started businesses and become their own bosses.

Others gathered together to accomplish what one person could not. In truth, the currents of the Adriatic Sea were already rather weak. After all, like the Red Sea, it was an enclosed sea. If the rowers worked together, they could still sail out of those complicated waters.

"Have you ever seen wild boars in the wilderness?"

As she accompanied Dumbledore on a stroll along the Saint-Martin Canal, the old wizard in star-covered robes asked her. The Muggles jogging along the canal nearby turned a blind eye to him.

"Wild boars?" Pomona asked incredulously.

"I think they can resolve a disagreement we've had for a long time." Dumbledore looked down at the path beneath his feet. "Wild boars live in groups. They take in stray piglets, allowing outsiders to eat and move about with them. But when the herd encounters danger, the strongest male drives that outsider away to draw the predator's attention. It is one of their survival strategies."

She was speechless.

"Male deer, meanwhile, rush over to rescue the herd when it is in danger," Dumbledore continued.

"But Harry isn't a wild boar, and he isn't a deer," Pomona corrected him. "He's a person!"

"Minerva thinks the same as you." Dumbledore smiled. "Though sometimes you do agree with me, Professor."

She panted heavily, trying to think of how to refute him.

"He is not alone," Dumbledore said slowly. "He has friends. What about you?"

"I have friends too," Pomona retorted instinctively.

"You mean Severus?" Dumbledore's blue eyes watched her through his half-moon spectacles.
