"Do you think these will do?" Pomona asked.
"They should be about enough. I heard you've established an Erumpent sanctuary," Jig said.
"Not us. It was established by a student who just graduated," Pomona quickly said.
"I also need some powdered Erumpent horn. Can you help me get some?"
No sooner had Jig finished speaking than heavy footsteps sounded outside the door. Before long, Hagrid appeared, carrying a large basket of fire-seed bush seeds.
"Do you think this is enough, Professor?" Hagrid said in his deep voice.
"Thank you. Please bring them inside," Jig said.
Hagrid bent over and "squeezed" through the classroom door, then placed the basket of fire-seed bushes in a corner.
"Thank you for helping me. I have a gift for you," Jig said, taking a cage out from beneath his desk.
"No need to be so polite, Professor. Serving Hogwarts is our..."
Hagrid abruptly trailed off before he could finish. Jig had pulled away the cloth over the cage, revealing several splendid, jewel-encrusted Fire Crabs.
"I remember that exporting Fire Crabs requires a special permit," Pomona said in amazement as she looked at them. No wonder they were protected. The pet shops in Diagon Alley sold turtles with jewels embedded in their shells, but compared to Fire Crabs, they paled in comparison.
