Once upon a time, there was a little girl everyone adored. She loved wearing a red velvet cap her grandmother had given her.
One day, her mother asked her to bring food to her grandmother and told her not to stray from the main road or wander too far.
Little Red Riding Hood was playful by nature. She stopped to taste delicious berries whenever she saw them and chased pretty butterflies whenever they caught her eye, wasting quite a lot of time along the way.
As the sky gradually darkened, she would not make it home in time unless she took a shortcut. So she disobeyed her mother and entered the forest.
The forest had always been peaceful. Then, suddenly, she encountered a creature she had never seen before. It had pitch-black fur, gleaming white teeth, and a huge blood-red maw, but its voice was gentle and pleasant.
The creature asked her, "Where are you going?"
Little Red Riding Hood was innocent and kind by nature, so she told it why she had come into the forest.
The creature was actually a wolf. Cruel and cunning by nature, the wolf tricked Little Red Riding Hood into picking wildflowers, then ran to the cottage in the woods, ate her grandmother, and disguised himself as her. He intended to devour Little Red Riding Hood in a single bite when she came looking for her grandmother.
Later, Little Red Riding Hood met a hunter in the woods. He asked why she was alone in the forest so late, and she told him about going to see her grandmother and encountering the wolf on the way.
The hunter knew the wolf's nature very well. He did not tell Little Red Riding Hood anything. Instead, he pretended to leave while secretly following behind her.
