"Wuuuuu—!"
Jackal struggled desperately on the experiment table—but not to break free of her restraints.
She was struggling because of the photos of Liu Bai being displayed before her.
"Highlord, following Jackal's formula, we've prepared a fresh batch of the potion."
Gray Serpent approached from the compounding station, holding a vial of gray liquid.
Though Gray Serpent was an anthropologist, he was also a jack-of-all-trades. Whenever they were short-handed, Mobius did not mind using him as an assistant—after all, there was more than one Gray Serpent.
"Feed it to her."
Mobius gave the order coldly.
"Yes." Gray Serpent nodded and walked over to Jackal, removing the rag stuffed in her mouth.
"Where is he? Where is he? Tell me where he—mmph!"
This woman had completely lost her mind.
After feeding her the medicine, Gray Serpent promptly stuffed the rag back into her mouth.
"Mmph! Mmmph—!"
"The instant she took the medicine, her neural activity only rose by one percent. That hardly looks like something dosage can brute-force through. Considering that the effect itself has a time limit... hmm. Can I take this to mean Jackal's excitement had already reached the point of diminishing returns? A refill merely extends the duration. Huh, this stuff is rather mild. I thought it would be the kind of violent stimulant that caused brain death."
"And you still tested it?" Raven lay on the bed across from Jackal, tightly bound and wearing a helmet. The only difference was that she did not have a gag ball in her mouth...
"I'm joking. If this medicine could really kill someone, Jackal would have been dead long ago."
Mobius chuckled. She merely wanted to torture her disappointing disciple a little.
It was not as though she did not know that Jackal had been drinking this stuff like water
