"Who was Liu Bai's favorite little kitty~?"
"Who was the best-behaved little kitty in the house~?"
"Who was Liu Bai's favorite good little kitty~~?"
"It was—"
Whoosh—!
"Ah, Sparkle, you're awake?"
Firefly carried a bowl, stirring it with a spoon as she bumped the door open with her body. She greeted Sparkle with the air of an older sister.
"It's already noon. Do you want lunch... What's wrong? You look a little pale."
Only halfway through speaking did Firefly realize Sparkle had not reacted. She turned her gaze toward her and examined her carefully twice.
"I-is that so?"
Sparkle wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and forced out a stiff smile.
"Yes. Your complexion right now... is even worse than when I first survived a battlefield."
"Then which is worse, this or finding out that Kafka took Liu Bai's first time?" Sparkle shot back stiffly.
"...How about I get you something to drink?"
Hey! Why did this girl suddenly become so tolerant?!
"Forget it. I just had a slightly disturbing nightmare."
Sparkle took two deep breaths and patted her face. What a baffling dream.
What was all that about being good or a little kitty? It made it seem like she cared a lot.
"Where's Liu Bai?" Sparkle asked only after her palpitations eased.
"He went to work. Sparkle, do you want to try the cake I made? I tried really hard to improve it..."
"No."
Sparkle refused with astonishing speed.
What cake? Who would care about that?
Sparkle jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed.
...Dreams had to hold at least a little reference value, right?
"...Strange. Why do I suddenly feel like trouble is coming my way?"
Liu Bai rubbed Pardo's chin in confusion.
"You have trouble?" Jingliu returned to the room while wiping her sword.
