With the New Year approaching, I first wish all my fellow readers success in all your endeavors in the Year of the Dragon—may you soar like a dragon.
I am Mr. Ge.
The Witcher 3 had always been a game I loved, and I played through it many times.
Out of interest, I also read the Witcher novels, and then I couldn't stop myself from rereading them again and again.
The more I read, the more the indignation and doubts in my heart surged.
Why was a heroic profession as steeped in tragedy as witchers despised by most commoners of the Northern Kingdoms?
When witchers themselves came from among them.
Whether from the School of the Wolf, the School of the Cat, or any other school, most apprentices were sent to witchers because their families were poor, offered as payment for completing a contract.
After enduring arduous Trials, they returned to live among them, spending their entire lives slaying monsters and banishing evil for them.
There was perhaps no profession that represented the common folk of the Northern Continent better than witchers.
Everyone had a chance to become a witcher, but fate favored some, while the rest died.
Wasn't that just like war refugees, whose lives and deaths were decided by fate after being caught up in war?
So I wanted to write a book.
Every witcher school on the Northern Continent was suddenly annihilated and plundered at some point in time.
So I placed the protagonist before that point.
I wanted to see, in this turbulent era,
whether he could save the School of the Wolf. Whether he could save the witchers. Whether he could save this world.
I would do my best to write this book well. Though I was certainly lacking as a new writer, I was learning.
I promised steady updates. I would never abandon the story or leave it unfinished.
So.
Would you be willing to read my story?
A new writer asking for follows! Comments! Recommendations!
Especially comments—I would read every one.
As for updates.
Before release, there would be 4,000 words daily. After release, I would definitely increase the updates!
