Death!
At the end of the cave of the Old Spearhead.
Without the Cyclops guarding the entrance, the deep cave, though dark and gloomy, was easily reached by the Witcher apprentices thanks to their agile skills and keen senses.
Then came an earthquake without warning.
What was that tremor just now?
Fred got up from the ground and dusted himself off.
Bont steadied himself against the rock wall and, using the daylight from the cave entrance, glanced at Huus.
After entering the cave, Huus, who had been very lively, just kept his head down and kept moving forward without saying another word.
Bont sighed inwardly.
He was just like this a month ago when he learned that his childhood friend of many years had failed the Trial of Grasses.
Although Huus kept saying he believed in Ailin.
But after seeing the huge difference in size between him and the Old Spearhead, who can convince themselves that Ailin will really be alright?
"I don't know, but this level is almost over, let's get out of here quickly!"
As soon as I stepped out of the cave, a biting north wind howled past.
The three witcher apprentices instinctively tightened their clothes and looked simultaneously into the dark cave behind them.
The unfathomable darkness within the cave seemed to lead to a deathly tomb in perpetual slumber.
"Huus, Ailin will be alright."
"Once we get back to the finish line, we'll go find Vesemir to rescue him."
After exchanging a glance, Bont and Fred looked at Huus, who was staring blankly into the darkness, and offered words of comfort.
After a moment of silence, Huus nodded and turned to walk toward the altar where the badge would be activated.
Before reaching the altar, you actually have to pass through the lairs of several trolls.
However, the apprentices weren't nervous, because Ailin had explained how to handle the situation to them the night before...
Ailin, Ailin...
Thinking of the trials to come, and even the two trials before them, the three apprentices couldn't help but silently repeat the name in their hearts.
Ailin seemed to have everything arranged.
Unfortunately, he wasn't included in the subsequent arrangements...
Silence fell between the three of them as they walked forward expressionlessly.
All I could hear was the whistling wind and the biting cold.
"Bang!"
The two monsters crashed into the stone wall next to the cave again.
Two bloody, mangled lumps of flesh, some wounds so deep that bone was visible.
With the naked eye, it would be difficult for Ailin to distinguish which lump of flesh was the Drowners King and which lump of flesh was Old Spearhead.
Blood gushed from the cave into Killer Lake, completely staining the area around the Witcher Apprentice red.
A peculiar, sweet fragrance lingered around Ailin's nose, subtly masking the other stench of blood.
The Witcher apprentice drank two more servings of the Drowner Heart Essence Fluid.
To prevent the two monsters from suddenly killing each other, Ailin was almost constantly in a demon-hunting state, except for Drowner Heart Essence Fluid.
The purpose was to infiltrate the auras surrounding the two monsters with their minds in order to determine the state of Old Spearhead and Drowners King.
The Witcher apprentice focused his attention on the lump of flesh, from which faint blue marks could be seen.
He sensed that the intensity of the aura surrounding the Drowners King was rapidly decreasing.
Two clumps of flesh in sight had stopped tearing apart a few seconds earlier.
If the flesh and blood hadn't been so thoroughly intertwined, the Drowners King would surely have already separated from the other lump of flesh by now.
"The Drowners King is about to die!"
"It's time to reap the rewards!"
After exiting Witcher mode, the Witcher Apprentice consumed two more Essence Fluid.
Demon Hunter
This time, after entering demon-hunting mode, Ailin no longer allowed his mind to switch between the two auras, but directly locked onto the Old Spearhead's aura.

"Croak~ Croak~ Croak croak..."
Mysterious and eerie incantations emanated from the witcher's apprentice.
At this point, he no longer needed to sing underwater.
really.
The two monsters ignored the strange noises coming from thirty or forty meters away.
The Drowners King was nearly unconscious, while Old Spearhead was not in such bad condition.
However, the most serious injuries to it were from the waist down to above the knees.
There was hardly a single piece of intact meat there.
Such injuries naturally prevented it from standing up, and with its pitiful 7 points of perception, it couldn't detect magical fluctuations thirty or forty meters away.
A blue glow appeared from Ailin's right palm.
"Call out"
The ice spear sliced through the air and pierced straight into the Old Spearhead's single eye.
"Roar~"
The intense battle, coupled with extreme pain and massive blood loss, rendered Old Spearhead's screams weak and feeble.
It did not raise its hand to cover itself.
Because the tendons and bones in his hands had long been bitten off by the Drowners King.
If Ailin hadn't decided to be cautious, lest these two large monsters suddenly unleash their power before they died...
At this point, he wouldn't even need to hunt demons; he could simply stroll over and chop off those two enormous, bloodied heads.

After piercing the ice spear, the Witcher Apprentice quickly swam towards the cave.
Meanwhile, his gaze never left the Old Spearhead.
"Pat-pat~ Pat-pat~"
The Witcher apprentice walked to the cave entrance.
They were only about 20 meters away from the Cyclops.
[Demon Hunter] Progress 26%
Perhaps because of the severity of the injury, the progress of the demon hunting is still increasing rapidly even without attacking.
It's just difficult to complete within 150 seconds.
so.
"Clang~"
The silver sword was drawn, and the beautiful Elsa flashed a soft light before the dark cave.
Old Spearhead seemed to sense something, stopped wailing, and lay there motionless.
The Witcher apprentice was not affected by the Cyclops's unusual behavior.
In his demon hunter form, he is ruthless and all his emotions serve only one goal.
Kill this monster!
They quickly approached the Old Spearhead in a few steps.
With a flash of silver light, flesh and blood bloomed like flowers.

Retreat quickly to dodge possible attacks.
However, the Old Spearhead seemed to be dead, motionless, and the wound Elsa had made was white, without a drop of blood flowing out.
Was the Cyclops dead?
Of course not.
In the Witcher Apprentice's perception, the Chaos Magic surrounding the Old Spearhead was gradually weakening.
But the continuous, fluctuating decline is proof that life is still active.
"Thump! Thump!"
After Ailin stepped back, he gripped the hilt of his sword with both hands.
He spun around and brandished his sword.
"Pfft!"
Old Spearhead suffered another wound.
[Demon Hunter] Progress 49%
The Cyclops remained motionless, but the Witcher apprentice could sense the rapidly fluctuating aura of magical favor.
"A cunning monster," Ailin thought to himself.
He knew that the Old Spearhead was waiting for the moment he would deliver the fatal blow.
This means it must be located close to the head and heart.
Unfortunately, the Witcher Apprentice is not an ordinary person.
He crossed his left and right feet, spun around, and chopped. He spun around again and chopped.
The beautiful Elsa, like a silver-winged elf, swiftly performed a cruel dance on the Cyclops's body.

Ding! [Demon Hunting] Progress 100%
When the progress jumped to 100%, Old Spearhead suddenly trembled all over.
Then the enormous mountain of flesh began to shake.
"Roar!"
Seemingly sensing that his life was about to end, the Cyclops struggled frantically.
Unfortunately, in the eyes of the Witcher apprentice, it was already dead.
Familiar red footprints appeared, reaching all the way to the Cyclops's neck.
"Tap~ Tap~ Tap~"
The footsteps sounded like the Grim Reaper announcing his death.
"Smack!"
The Witcher apprentice suddenly leaped up and landed right on the Cyclops's rolling body.
Then, step by step, they walked towards the end of the footprints.
Old Spearhead's bloodied and mangled face revealed extreme fear, and his massive body trembled incessantly.
But none of this could melt the ice in the heart of the Witcher apprentice.
"... Step! Step!"
Ailin stopped.
The red footprints disappeared, and a red line appeared on the Cyclops's thick neck.
"Pfft!"
A soft, silvery light flashed by.
Thin lines of blood appeared on the flesh and then, in the next moment, split the head and body in two.
Old Spearhead, dead!
