Fleur Delacour's proposal could be called quite decent, and it easily won over most of the audience.
Michael Corner was one of them. A faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he stared, somewhat entranced, at the Image Projection Screen. "That's great! Fleur's suggestion is wonderful!"
Anthony Goldstein agreed. "It really is a good suggestion. Fleur Delacour is smart."
"Oh?" Michael came back to himself and asked reflexively, "Why?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Anthony asked in return. "Don't forget, we can all see how the Champions are performing."
"This is the Five Champions Tournament! The selected Champions are the representatives of their schools... What did Viktor Krum say?"
"He hoped to duel Vizet fair and square, and whether he won or lost, he wouldn't cooperate with the other Champions to gang up on the Hogwarts Champions."
"When you heard Viktor Krum say that just now, didn't your opinion of him change right away? Maybe you even thought to yourselves... Durmstrang might not be that bad?"
"Hiss! Now that you mention it, that really does seem to be the case!" Terry Boot rubbed his chin. "I really did think that... but Karkaroff is still utterly wicked!"
Anthony continued, "I think those Champions will feel something similar too, but Fleur Delacour was probably the quickest to react and realized this could be used..."
"Don't say 'used'..." Michael said, a little displeased. "What an ugly word!"
Anthony raised his eyebrows and did not bother to explain. "Since Viktor Krum's words can make you change your view of Durmstrang..."
"Then after hearing this suggestion from Fleur Delacour, wouldn't you change your view of Beauxbatons? And Beauxbatons has always performed well before this, so it'll definitely have an even better effect."
