"Master!" Bellatrix Lestrange's eyes were filled with obsession as she crawled to Voldemort's feet. "I always believed you would return!"
"I knew they were all lying! I knew how powerful you were, my lord!" she said to Voldemort, choking back sobs. "I never doubted it for even the slightest moment!"
"Of course!" A smile hung at the corner of Voldemort's mouth. The Death Eaters' reverent expressions and tones filled him with deep satisfaction. "I can feel your loyalty!"
"Your waiting will not have been in vain!" What he wanted was to see the Death Eaters wearing exactly those expressions. "We will reward all of you! There will be a place for you in the new world!"
He looked around and saw the guards huddled in the corner.
The two guards also felt Voldemort's gaze. As if clinging to some unrealistic fantasy, they seemed to be trying to squeeze themselves into the cracks in the wall, attempting to keep Voldemort from noticing them.
But things went against their wishes. Voldemort slowly walked toward the two guards and looked down at them from above. "You have only two choices..."
After all, the scene would be displayed in the hazy green light. Since he had already resolved to make a change and had brought out a new set of theories, he naturally could not return to his old way of doing things.
"I can grant you death... or you may choose a new life. Hand over your Wands, and pledge yourselves to me!"
Headmaster Dumbledore had made the hazy green light unable to transmit sound, which, in a certain sense, had actually helped Voldemort a little.
Voldemort could say threatening words without the audience knowing. Those spectators would rely on their own experiences and try to imagine what Voldemort had said.
"My Master!"
