"F... Fran..."
Before Alice Longbottom could call out her husband's name, her expression twisted in pain again, and her body began to tremble violently, the tremors even affecting Hecate Graves's wand.
Hecate Graves did her best to keep her wand steady. Beads of sweat the size of beans appeared on her forehead, and ripples spread across the top of the Healing Head Bubble Charm, absorbing the sweat cleanly.
"The accident still happened, Mr. Lovegood!" Her attention was entirely on Alice Longbottom as she controlled the wand in her hand as much as possible, keeping it from being affected by Alice Longbottom's trembling.
Daedalus Wellesley was likewise focused on the human-shaped smoke. He spoke up in warning. "Hecate, just as we anticipated, she's rejecting the Soul Healing Art."
As soon as he finished speaking, a red light appeared from Alice Longbottom's body. Like lightning, it instantly arrived in front of Hecate Graves.
Hecate Graves's arm jerked upward beyond her control. Not only did the silver light at the tip of her wand vanish, even the wand itself flew out of her hand.
"Hiss!" she groaned in pain, her face turning deathly pale. "I think I was hit by a Disarming Charm! She really is resisting me!"
Vizet's voice rang out. "Ms. Graves, switch to conservative treatment!"
He had already come to Alice Longbottom's side, and Hecate Graves took the initiative to give up her position.
Galen Claudius waved his wand repeatedly. A pole extended upward from the hospital bed, and a jar of potion floated up, hanging steadily from the pole.
Vizet recited the incantation for the Soul Healing Art. "Soul Blade Healing!"
He flicked his wand gently. The silver glow divided into a Silver Thread, one end stretching toward the potion jar and the other toward Alice Longbottom's right arm.
