Working at a Magical Injuries and Diseases Hospital, one could always run into all sorts of bizarre patients, and the Creature-Induced Injuries Department was no exception.
Vizet and Galen Claudius had not spoken for long before a patient was "pulled" into the Treatment Room.
The patient looked like a floating balloon. His son had tied a rope around his waist, and that was the only reason he had not flown away.
"Mongolfer!" Galen Claudius clearly knew the father and son. "Thank goodness! You still ended up taking this step. You didn't violate the Statute of Secrecy, did you?"
Mongolfer's son puffed out his chest, a note of pride in his voice. "Uncle Galen, when we came to St. Mungo's, I put father in a pair of roller skates."
"Still needing your own child to look after you..." Galen Claudius raised his eyebrows. "Once he goes to Hogwarts, there won't be anyone to bring you to St. Mungo's on roller skates."
"I just can't control myself..." Mongolfer's tone held a trace of shame. "Besides, I've been stung so many times. Who would've thought I'd still get an allergy!"
"I would've!" Galen Claudius said irritably. "Last time, I told you that if you got stung by Billywigs a few more times, you were very likely to have a severe allergic reaction."
After that exchange, Vizet sorted out the whole story.
A Billywig Sting was a kind of Potion Ingredient, and its effect was to make people float. Because of that, the ingredients for Fizzing Whizbees also contained powder made from Billywig Sting.
Being stung by a Billywig was no pleasant thing. The person stung would feel dizzy and disoriented, then float up into the air, and only after the venom eased would they be able to return to the ground.
