Harry left his room bright and early the next morning, looking full of energy, and happened to run into Ginny just as she was about to go downstairs.
Ginny gave a long yawn, tears even springing to the corners of her eyes, and there was an obvious trace of weariness between her brows.
Harry went over to Ginny and asked with concern, "Ginny, what's wrong? Did you..."
His Seeker's talent showed without question. As he spoke, his gaze swept over Ginny's red hair and face, and when he saw her smooth, fair neck, he let out a sigh of relief.
The two of them went downstairs together, bright sunlight spilling over Ginny's neck and outlining a graceful curve.
Harry, who happened to see it, faltered for a moment. He quickly shook his head and murmured in a light tone, "Whew... Looks like everything's probably fine."
Ginny found Harry's behavior a little strange, especially that last mutter. Puzzled, she asked, "Harry, what are you talking about? What's fine?"
"Oh... nothing..." Harry shook his head. "It's just that last night, we found Vizet had been bitten by a bug! There was an obvious red mark on his neck, and it didn't disappear until this morning."
"You didn't look too well this morning, so I was worried you might have been bitten by that bug too..." He pointed at his own neck. "But it's fine. Your neck's completely clean, so you definitely weren't bitten."
Hearing Harry say that, Ginny held her breath. She already understood what the "bug" and "red mark" Harry was talking about referred to, and a flush could not help coloring her face.
It was precisely because of that "red mark" that she had not managed to sleep well last night.
She thought back to something else from last night
