"I can't really explain it. Just experience, I suppose..." Malcolm Sharma shrugged and explained, "You remember what the commentator said earlier, right?"
"Mr. Lovegood has played in the Quidditch World Cup. His level is at least professional. A professional-level player has no reason to be stopped by these school team players, does he?"
"That's true..." After hearing Malcolm Sharma's explanation, several Education Investigators nodded in agreement.
"But the gap is still too huge!" one Education Investigator went on. "It feels like they have absolutely no power to fight back!"
"I was actually on a school team before too, and I once did events with those star players. Back then, I didn't think the gap would be that big."
Malcolm Sharma continued explaining, "That's because sports like football and basketball are played on the ground. At most, you only need to keep an eye on your surroundings, so defending is definitely much easier."
"But Quidditch is played in the air. There are far too many places you need to watch—above, below, left, right... As long as the awareness is there, an attack can come from anywhere. The difficulty of defending rises by several orders of magnitude."
