"Here! This is it!" Parker led everyone to a stop in front of an old three-story industrial building.
The industrial building was made of red brick, its surface marked with traces of soot and water stains. The paint on the wooden window frames had peeled away, making it look rather old.
Above the main door hung a wooden sign. The words on it were simple and direct: Parker's Place, offering beds, hot soup, and peace.
"I think lunch should still be hot. Come on in!" Parker's booming voice was full of pride as he pushed open the heavy door.
Boom!
Parker had only just finished speaking when a piercing explosion rang out behind them.
Vizet and the others turned toward the sound and saw that the two-story brick building opposite the inn had already blown apart.
In an instant, splintered wood, glass, and shattered stone, mixed with smoke and dust, gushed out from the second floor of the brick building.
Surging out with them was a figure covered head to toe in dust.
That Figure shot through the air like a cannonball, arcing across the sky before crashing into the inn's sign with a bang.
"Damn it!" As That Figure hit the ground, Parker cursed, then lifted his foot and kicked him toward the street.
That Figure rolled twice, as if he had not been hurt at all, and sprang nimbly to his feet.
His steps wobbled as he walked toward the nearest person, Vizet. "Oh! Jack! We haven't seen each other in thirty years!"
"Jack? Haven't seen each other in thirty years?" Sirius Black and the others looked at one another, completely unable to figure out what was going on.
"Gregory's Compliment Potion," Vizet explained. "There must have been an accident while he was brewing the potion, so he
