Feeling the gazes of the M staff on him, Vizet slowly nodded and gave them the answer they wanted most. "Yes!"
"Since I've grasped the right to define it, that means I have the ability to make the 'recipe' controllable. Naturally, I can use that as the foundation to remedy every 'flawed semi-finished product.'"
There was no impassioned promise in his words. They were as ordinary as discussing today's weather.
Yet that matter-of-fact calm seemed to contain some special kind of magic, filling the M staff with confidence.
Several of the younger M staff were afraid they would cheer and scream, and almost at the same time, they clapped their hands over their mouths, their knuckles turning white from the force.
The older M staff were comparatively more restrained. They merely closed their eyes and leaned back in their chairs, their hands clenched into fists, their shoulders trembling uncontrollably as they tried to suppress their emotions.
In truth, even these M staff could hardly explain why they were willing to believe Vizet's words, when they had clearly suffered all kinds of discrimination, hardship, setbacks, and even despair because of "Lycanthropy Disease."
Perhaps the source of that confidence came from every day they had spent working at M;
They could enjoy normal working conditions, receive wages that would absolutely never be docked, and obtain the extremely precious Wolfsbane Potion...
More importantly, at M, they could feel the dignity of being treated as a "person" rather than a "monster."
The "normalcy" they had longed for so desperately was also as matter-of-fact at M as "discussing today's weather."
That was why, when Vizet said something in such a calm tone that was enough to overturn their fate, they chose to believe him as a matter of course.
This was the confidence Vizet gave
