Durmstrang Headmaster's Office.
"Master! Dumbledore has gone mad! It's hard to understand what he's even thinking!"
Barty Crouch Jr.'s voice trembled with anger as he spoke, and without the slightest hesitation, he dropped to his knees and prostrated himself on the floor.
Voldemort did not answer. Instead, he glanced at the name printed at the top of the newspaper before him: Fjordtidende.
His eyelid twitched almost imperceptibly, but he did not reach for the paper.
"Barty, you should remember..." He turned his gaze to Barty Crouch Jr., his voice calm and cold. "Do not be angry. Anger dulls your wisdom."
Barty Crouch Jr.'s body shook. "Oh! Great Master, your wisdom is always so dazzling!"
"Your teachings are always so thought-provoking! In this world, there is no master greater than you!"
As he said this, his voice carried a choked note, as though he truly had been deeply moved by Voldemort's instruction.
"I really should restrain myself. I cannot let anger affect me!" He took a deep breath, his hands already clenched into fists as he worked to steady his voice.
In a clear voice, he said, "That Dumbledore actually used his authority to call on all Wizards in the Magical World to learn a spell called the 'Charm to Repel Weapons'!"
"The Charm to Repel Weapons?" Voldemort looked again at the newspaper on the table, moving down from the heading "Fjordtidende" as he searched for the spell name he needed.
Soon, amid the densely packed text, he found the spell he was looking for and read aloud the incantation printed in the newspaper. "Averte Telum... Is this it?"
"That is the spell!" Barty Crouch Jr. answered at once, his tone filled with undisguised admiration. "Great Master, it seems you realized this long ago!"
The corner of Voldemort's mouth curved slightly.
