In subjects like Charms Class and Transfiguration, under normal circumstances, it was indeed very difficult to naturally create the sort of "dangerous" situation needed to practice the "Charm to Repel Weapons."
That was why her recent troubles mainly came from Gryffindor students running everywhere in search of "dangerous" experiences, rather than students taking the initiative in class to ask how they should experience "danger."
Professor Sprout smiled and shook her head. "Mostly they wanted to learn about the Whomping Willow, Biting Cabbage... or other dangerous Magical Plants."
"Minerva, you probably can't imagine what it was like at the time! They were only a few first-years! They had only just learned how to cast the Levitation Charm!"
"And yet they actually came up to me with perfectly serious faces and asked how they should subdue a Whomping Willow. To be honest, when I heard them say that, they almost scared me out of my wits!"
"That does sound rather bold..." Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow slightly. "Did you ask them why?"
"I did." Professor Sprout picked up her teacup. "Their plan was to first learn how to subdue the Whomping Willow, and then when they experienced danger, the friends around them could subdue the Whomping Willow in time."
"Well..." Professor McGonagall nodded thoughtfully. "In a sense, they could be considered to have acted according to Vizet's advice."
Professor Sprout agreed. "Yes! Vizet really is very popular!"
"I think when Vizet emphasized the premise of a 'relatively safe environment' in the open class, he also foresaw that something like this would happen."
"Yes," Professor McGonagall said with a nod. "The students took those words to heart, so when
