Vizet said, "Yes. Actually, when I lowered my head, I had a momentary illusion. I felt as if I'd seen a mirror."
In truth, when he saw that smiling-face symbol in the sanctuary of the Misty Illusory Realm and began thinking about the possible reasons behind it, the first thing that came to mind was a Christmas Gift he had once received—
A mirror.
That Christmas Gift had been sent to him by Serena Pendragon on Gellert Grindelwald's behalf, and she had also stuffed a card crammed full of writing into the package.
The contents of the card were very interesting, very much in Serena Pendragon's style:
[Merry Christmas! I'm saying that for Grindelwald. All he said was that he wanted to give you a mirror as a gift.]
[That's right! I figured you'd definitely study it out of habit, but I've already studied it for you. It's just an ordinary mirror. I checked several times and confirmed that this really was what he meant.]
