He looked Barty Crouch Jr. over and asked, "Can you do something similar?"
"Why couldn't I?" Barty Crouch Jr.'s eyes flickered as he calmly laid out his thinking. "I could absolutely announce to the outside world that I had obtained a certain crown!"
"So long as I used this crown to command all humanity. I wouldn't even need to command all humanity—commanding a portion of humanity would be enough!"
"As long as I used this crown to command a portion of humanity, I could turn those humans' will into a weapon, into power, and even use that power to resist—even destroy—Death!"
"Right! I should add a few extra explanations!" He seemed to think of something else. "For example, a crown like this could only be sensed by its wearer!"
"It would have to be invisible, unseen by everyone!" He suddenly burst out laughing and cast Herpo a provocative look. "What do you think? Not a bad idea, is it?"
Herpo neither agreed nor disagreed. He only slowly raised his hand and pointed at the wretched Carcas on the ground. "This is the price of looking down on the Deathly Hallows! Don't forget..."
His voice turned icy. "He merely looked at the Deathly Hallows once through the Heavenly Eye, and he was already reduced to this state. Even the Heavenly Eye itself was damaged."
