Third-Party Force?
"Your sleeves..." Wizet looked at Lucius's right hand, "I need to check your sleeves, numb... now raise your hands."
"Okay! Okay!" Lucius hurriedly replied, quickly pulling his head back and extending his right hand.
"The burn marks...we still need to extract the specific components..." Wizet raised her wand and pressed it against Lucius's right sleeve.
Lucius rubbed his eyes with his left hand. He saw Wizet retract her wand, and something seemed to be drawn out from the tip of the wand...
Just as he was wondering, Wizet had already given the answer, "Living Death Potion... it really is this..."
This is a powerful sleeping pill that can put the user into a deep sleep, even temporarily stopping their breathing and other physiological functions, making them appear as if they are dead.
If, after falling into a coma, no Invigoration Draught is taken to counteract the effects, then those who have taken the Living Death Potion for too long will face true death.
The Living Death Potion is primarily designed for humans, and when it comes into contact with other substances, it often produces a strong corrosive effect.
For example, in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," both the Judgment Chair and the wand can be corroded by the Living Death Potion.
Wizet took out a piece of parchment, turned it into a glass bottle, and put the drop of the Living Death Potion into it.
"The Living Death Potion?" Lucius swallowed hard, as if he understood something. "Could it be that Appaloosa isn't dead? Were they trying to frame me?"
"There must be a third-party force involved." Wizet continued his investigation and found that Lucius's body indeed only contained remnants of the Living Death Potion.
"Rather than framing you, it was more like going with the flow... The main purpose was to get rid of a third party, or to put it another way... to cause trouble for the third party... That's why I kept you at the scene."
"Merlin's beard!" Lucius sighed in utter frustration. "Perhaps I shouldn't have listened to that prophet. I thought coming here would help me escape disaster, but I'm still so unlucky!"
"A prophet?" Wizet frowned slightly. "You heard an accurate Prophecy? What was it?"
Lucius quickly replied, "I met a prophet at the Leaky Cauldron. She's Cassandra Trelawney's great-great-granddaughter. I know her name! A true prophet with ' the Heavenly Eye '!"
"Trelawney ..." Wizet's mind conjured up an image of a professor who was always drunk and utterly unreliable. "That prophet's name is Sybill Trelawney?"
"Yes!" Lucius nodded repeatedly. "She hasn't shown up for a long time. I happened to run into her at the Leaky Cauldron recently, so I asked her to do a divination for me."
"She gave me a cup of tea, and then I saw an open umbrella in the teacup... an upside-down horseshoe... These are all symbols of bad luck, even threatening my family..."
"A lot has happened recently... Those Pure-blood Family were deceived by imposters and instead blamed me, cutting off all contact with me..."
"So I took my family out and tried to find a new supplier here. I contacted Appaloosa, but I didn't expect to encounter this kind of situation again!"
Wizet raised an eyebrow. "As far as I know, the Appaloosa Family... seems to only sell alchemical pets. It seems they also have a black market?"
Lucius immediately replied, "Looking at the whole of North America, they should be the third largest supplier of Magical creature, whether it's the Runespoor Egg I need..."
"Or Fire Dragon egg, Acromantula egg, Chimera egg... even Unicorn cubs can be bought from the Appaloosa Family... This place is too big, and the regulations are not as strict as in England."
Wizet continued, "Do you know the exact location of the black market?"
"I didn't originally plan to go through the black market..." Lucius shook his head. "If we could cooperate directly with the Appaloosa Family, we could avoid the black market's cut and it would be much cheaper."
"So, so far, you've only met with Appaloosa once, right?"
"Yes! Because we just arrived here and haven't had time to visit many places yet."
Just then, the beetle flew back and landed on Wizet's hand.
His expression changed, and he chanted a spell over Lucius: "Obliviate!"
As Lucius's eyes glazed over, Wizet stood up and pointed his wand at himself. "Invisibility Spell! Water Separation Charm Qi Gathering! Night Vision Charm!"
Wizet's figure disappeared completely, and slightly hurried footsteps could be heard outside the cell.
A wizard dressed as a member of the Magical Congress approached, and before Lucius could say anything, the wizard had already raised his wand and said, "Stupefy!"
The red light illuminated the entire room, and when the light faded, Lucius collapsed in the corner.
Wizet gripped his wand tightly, staring intently at the wizard's mouth, ready to intervene immediately should the wizard make any further outrageous moves.
The wizard muttered, "That should be him... All I need to do is cast a Scouring Charm on him, is it that simple? Scourgify!"
Having done all this, the wizard left with light steps, Wizet also revealed himself.
"Looks like they've been bribed..." he muttered, looking down at the Living Death Potion in the glass bottle. "What they want to cleanse is probably this... So it really was a fake death?"
He pointed his wand at Lucius, "Suspended Incantation! Ennervate!"
He had just cast Obliviation Charm on Lucius to avoid any accidents and to prevent his whereabouts from being exposed.
Lucius slowly awoke, letting out a painful groan. "Three Stunning Spell in two days! Even more than ten years ago, I was never treated like this!"
He saw Wizet's figure and immediately curled up. "Dark... Dark Lord, what just happened? Was the person who cast the spell on me trying to harm me?"
"He's here for this person." Wizet held up the glass bottle. "Either he's planning to frame you, or he's planning to frame that third-party force."
"A third party?" Lucius asked, puzzled. "I... I don't understand..."
"When I was extracting your memories just now, I also confirmed something else," Wizet explained. "Your memories haven't been altered."
"Under normal circumstances, if they interrogated you, would you recount your entire experience?"
"Of course! That group attacked first..." Lucius suddenly realized, "Now I understand! But what was their purpose?"
"I don't know, but the Magical Congress is not trustworthy." Wizet shook his head. "To ensure your safety, I need to modify your memories."
Lucius shook his head uneasily. "Modify my memories?"
Wizet nodded and pressed his wand against Lucius's temple. "I will modify all memories related to the Living Death Potion, and all memories related to me."
"This is just a temporary change. Once things are resolved, I will help you restore your memory... The less you know and the more you meet their requirements, the safer you will be."
Lucius closed his eyes and obediently nodded. "Okay!"
He had no way to resolve the current predicament, and given that the Magical Congress was indeed unsafe, he had no choice but to trust Wizet...
