Vizet opened the letter and saw the Admission Letter bearing his name.
Having just experienced the wonders of magic, he was filled with barely contained excitement.
During this time, he had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of his Admission Letter.
Besides the Admission Letter, there was also another thick sheet of Parchment bearing the Books and Supplies List required for enrollment.
There was no need to pay a Tuition Fee to attend Hogwarts; students only needed to purchase the required supplies themselves.
In his previous life, Vizet had lived in a Welfare institution. That unusual experience had made him especially sensitive in certain areas—whenever money was involved, he became exceptionally cautious.
However, he still had a more important question. "Professor McGonagall, Luna's Admission Letter... wasn't it delivered by you?"
McGonagall explained, "She hasn't reached the School Age yet. She'll be able to enroll as a New Student and join Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry next year."
Vizet turned to look at Luna. "Then why did you make me call you Older Sister?"
"I've always wanted a Younger Brother I could protect." Luna smiled brightly, her tone carrying a hint of playfulness. "I fulfilled my responsibility as an Older Sister, didn't I?"
McGonagall pointed her Wand at the Steel Cage. The cage floated into the air, swaying as it drifted over to her side.
"I'm going to investigate this thoroughly and find out why this Snake appeared here."
"Investigate?" Vizet thought of something. "Professor McGonagall, do you mean... this was a deliberate attack?"
McGonagall let out a soft sigh. "Vizet, you're an Obscurial. Other Wizards will look at you differently. You should understand that, right?"
"Now that you put it that way, I understand..." Vizet thought of many things. "They think I'm an outsider and instinctively want to reject me."
"In their eyes, I must look like a bomb that could explode at any moment. If I were a Student Parent... I'd have to consider my child's safety too."
"You understand it perfectly!" McGonagall adjusted her glasses. Beneath the transparent lenses, shock and admiration showed in her eyes. "Like Headmaster Dumbledore, I have great confidence in you."
"You're undoubtedly a gifted child, and I look forward to seeing how you perform at Hogwarts. You don't need to worry about the rest either. We'll take care of everything for you."
"Oh, right! In a little while, a letter will be sent here. Someone will take you to Diagon Alley then, so you can purchase the items on that list."
After leaving him with this instruction, she and the Steel Cage disappeared into the vortex.
After night fell, just as Vizet was planning to mend his clothes, someone suddenly knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
Xenophilius, Luna's father, walked into the room. He was a disheveled Middle-aged Man.
His long, pale golden hair hung limply over his shoulders and looked greasy;
Deep Dark Circles surrounded his eyes, making him look somewhat dejected.
He pulled over a chair and sat across from Vizet. "This seems to be our first time... communicating face-to-face? Are you mending your clothes?"
"I accidentally snagged them." Vizet set down the Needle and Thread in his hands.
Just as Xenophilius had said, this was indeed their first face-to-face conversation.
Xenophilius was the Editor-in-Chief of The Quibbler and usually worked on the second floor;
He was also responsible for Three Meals a Day and for telling Luna bedtime stories, barely managing to keep both his career and his life in hand.
"Luna told me everything." Xenophilius's expression was solemn. "You protected her... I have to thank you."
"She protected me." Vizet waved his hand. "She pushed me away immediately. It was Professor McGonagall who saved us in the end."
Compared to the usually somewhat dejected Middle-aged Man, the solemn Xenophilius seemed rather unfamiliar to him now.
"No, no, no!" Xenophilius shook his head repeatedly. "Because of work, I usually can't spend much time with her. Most of the time, she plays by herself."
"Besides reading The Quibbler, she waters the garden. Ever since you came, she's been smiling more... even the Rainbow Ball Fish she catches have grown bigger!"
Vizet smiled. "I've learned a lot from Luna."
"In any case! Although I still don't understand why the Ministry of Magic dumped you at my house..." Xenophilius stood up.
He placed his hand on Vizet's shoulder, like a King crowning a Knight. "But! I Accept You Now!"
Seeing Xenophilius like this, Vizet didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
However, he also understood one thing—
Today, he and Luna's family had truly accepted one another.
Late at night, the Fireplace in Hogwarts Headmaster's Office crackled. The flames turned Emerald Green, and McGonagall stepped out of them.
Dumbledore set down the documents in his hands and stood to ask, "Minerva, you came back so late? Did you encounter some Change of Circumstances?"
"Some trouble did arise." McGonagall adjusted her glasses. "When I went to deliver the Admission Letter, I encountered a Runespoor."
Dumbledore frowned. "A Runespoor? Is Vizet all right?"
"He's fine!" McGonagall nodded. "I've already asked Kingsley to investigate. I believe we'll have results soon."
"That Runespoor was very old. By the time I brought it to Kingsley, it had already lost its Vital Signs. Anyone capable of keeping a Runespoor alive must have a complicated identity."
"I estimate that whoever released the Runespoor hoped to make the Obscurus run wild through this attack, thereby provoking even more controversy."
"Just as expected!" Dumbledore sighed. "However, I imagine Vizet must have shown some unexpected qualities, right?"
"Yes, Vizet is a gifted child!" McGonagall smiled faintly. "Not only was he not attacked by the Runespoor, he also protected Luna Lovegood."
"Luna Lovegood? The matter seems even more complicated than I imagined!" Dumbledore walked to a cabinet and took out an ancient Stone Basin.
Countless profound inscriptions were carved around the rim of the Stone Basin. It was filled with a silvery substance that seemed like smoke and illusion, dazzling and dreamlike.
"A Pensieve?" McGonagall drew her Wand, pressed its tip against her Temple, and pulled out a Thread shimmering with silver light.
The Thread fell into the Pensieve and dissolved. Dumbledore bent down and plunged his face deep into the basin.
Dumbledore put the Pensieve away, then sat in his chair with his fingers interlaced, his expression carrying a trace of emotion.
"Wandless Magic... no! It's even more ancient. It was a Casting Method Wizards used before Wands became widespread. Truly extraordinary!"
Professor McGonagall nodded in agreement. "I sensed an exceptionally pure desire to protect in that Shield Charm! Does that count as teaching himself?"
"Perhaps the guidance of others was important too." Dumbledore smiled. "Cornelius may have stumbled into success. He actually found the Wizarding Family best suited to Vizet."
Professor McGonagall's tone was tinged with helplessness. "If it's only a matter of cultivating imagination, The Quibbler can indeed have an effect."
"Yes!" Dumbledore's smile became more pronounced. "Minerva, which house do you think Vizet will be sorted into?"
