I did a rough count for this volume, and it reached 805,128 words, about the same as Volume Three.
From October 11 last year to today, March 19, time really flew.
This volume mainly contained two core plot units: the Battle of Zhongnan Mountain and the subsequent reforms of the Chen family.
The timeline and plotline naturally unfolded around the small team led by the protagonist, Chen Xiaojun, aside from a special flashback during the New Year about Chen Yu taking on three opponents alone.
The so-called "Revealing Talents," as a clan-based story, did not refer only to the protagonist's brilliance, but to the talents of many characters.
Of course, the main focus was still on our protagonist.
In my mind, Chen Xiaojun's "talent" should not be limited to simple leveling and monster-fighting, but should highlight the following two points even more:
First, commanding as a general on the battlefield!
The first unit—the Battle of Zhongnan Mountain—was the best proof.
On the open front, while at an absolute disadvantage, he won three battles in a row, turned the tide, and led the survivors from defeat to victory.
Behind the scenes, he invited Emerald Douluo Xue Chuxin to break the Crimson Church's scheme.
Of course, basic monster-fighting and leveling were also indispensable.
Chen Xiaojun fought a Soul Douluo alone; though defeated, he earned glory, since this time he faced the opponent by himself, fought a bitterly close battle, and improved at astonishing speed.
As for individual combat strength, the one who truly turned the tide was actually the heroine returning as a queen—Shao Siming, Xiao Yi.
In one move, she destroyed the strongest Howling Moon Silver Wolf pack, faced the wolf pack's charge head-on, and cut through them as easily as
